 I’d been looking for doggy daycare for a few months in readiness for returning to the Office more often and found MBF by sheer chance on my way home from a walk with Dolly Dog, Molly was dropping off a neighbour’s pooch and we got chatting. She explained how the companion service worked and I had never heard of this before, such an innovative approach to dog care.

I contacted Ross (owner) he returned my call that night, I was sold within minutes of talking to him, his passion and commitment to providing the best possible service to his clients shone through and my favourite part was his key priority for our fur babies to be safe and loved whilst living their best life. The rest is history…

Molly collects Dolly Dog each morning, takes her out for a few hours of fun and adventures and then brings her home, words cannot do justice to how truly amazing she is, her kindness and sincerity meant that trust was established from the get go and the pictures below speak for themselves to show you how happy Dolly is 🐶
5 stars for service, reliability and value for money, nothing is too much trouble.

The entire team are amazing, shout out to Claire too who Dolly also loves to be with the odd day, she even bailed me out at short notice on one occasion to have Dolly an extra day.

We couldn't recommend Ross and MBF highly enough!  Ross has been amazing at transforming Cooper's confidence. Cooper was quite a nervous and anxious puppy and had never been walked by anyone else.  Ross took him under his wing and has completely transformed his confidence! Cooper is now so confident on all his walks with Ross and with us.  We love seeing him run up and play with  other dogs - which he wouldn't have done before his walks with Ross.

Ross really went the extra mile to help Cooper and even brought him on free walks during the first few weeks to really help him.  He cares so much about the dogs in his care and I wouldn't have anyone else walk him. 

The service Ross offers is so much more than a dog walker, he offers advice and guidance and really goes the extra mile.  When Cooper has been ill, Ross checks in to see how he is and even bought Cooper a Christmas present.

We had to start looking for a new dog walker as our previous one didn’t have a good bond with our dog.  I’m happy to say that after a short trial period the bond between Ross, Solo and all of the other dogs is great! As soon as Ross pulls on the drive Solo is at the door, excited to see his friends. When he comes back he’s shattered and sleeps for most of the afternoon.  10/10 I (and Solo) would recommend Ross to anyone.

I am so happy MBF was recommended to me and Sadie joined the puppy companion service a couple of months ago. Claire and Tina are fabulous with her, settled her quickly and built her confidence. They send photos so I’ve always known how well looked after she is, and now I look forward to following the puppy adventures on facebook. To say Sadie loves going out with Claire or Tina is the world’s biggest understatement: it’s not a tail wag, it’s a whole-body wiggle when one of then arrives to collect her. Ross keeps the whole show going and is so helpful when I’m looking for extra days. I can’t recommend MBF highly enough, thanks to everyone. Claire and Tina, you two are just the best

I could not be happier with the team at MBF but more importantly Maggie absolutely adores Claire and Tina! When she sees Claire at the door her ‘no jumping’ training goes out the window as she leaps up to give the biggest kisses!!! She’s always fast asleep when I come home from work having had a blast with her friends for the day. I love getting the updates and I’m always happier knowing Maggie is happy and well looked after. Whenever I’ve had a problem Claire, Tina and Ross have always gone out of their way to make sure Maggie is looked after, safe and happy, nothing ever seems like too much trouble 😊 Thank you all, I don’t know what we do without you.

I wanted to post to say how fantastic MBF Dog & Training are. Based on a recommendation we got in touch with Ross about 6 years back as we were interested in employing a dog walker for Jessie our sprocker. Following a home visit by Ross, we were delighted that Ross (& Bosco) accepted Jessie to join the pack and more recently Peggy our second addition and I'm pleased to say that we've never looked back since then. Ross, Bosco & Claire have surpassed all of our expectations and we now consider them to be good friends. The walks are usually varied and our two especially love the Friday walk up to Swinsty & Fewston whenever possible. Communication is crucial in running a tight ship and Ross always keeps us informed on schedules & other things like photos & videos on social media which are brilliant. Our girls absolutely love Ross, Bosco & Claire and we can't recommend them highly enough.

They are certainly top dog in our opinion

Ross has been walking Buddy for a year  and a half now and we believe that he goes above and beyond in so many  ways. He spent a lot of time getting to know Buddy before he even went  out with him so that he felt at ease early doors. He then played an  influential part in his training from the off and made him one of the  pack meaning that with other dogs he is very outgoing but also  respectful, even when out with us on a weekend. We couldn’t believe it  when he got a Christmas present and the time and effort Ross put in to  make us a calendar with pictures of him as he grew up was a lovely  touch. 

Buddy  goes through toys like no one’s business and Ross always make sure that he is fully stocked, buying him extra ones or giving us some of Bosco’s old ones. During the time Ross has known Buddy he has gone above and  beyond with recommendations for training and food and even once spent 20  minutes on hold with the vets trying to get him in for us when he was  poorly and while we took him ourselves in the end he offered to take him  for us. He would even go in on a night and feed him if need be if we  both get caught in late meetings.

Ross  is so passionate about what he does that he even wants to spend time  with Buddy on a weekend organising beach walks, which from here is at  least a 90 minute drive away. It is Buddy’s favourite thing and he  always comes back clean and shattered! He is up to date with what is  going in in the community and keeps us informed of any unusual activity  on the area and his Facebook group is brilliant allowing us to keep up  to date with Buddy’s activities during the day. The thing with Ross is  that first and foremost dogs are his passion, it isn’t a job that has  become a passion more a passion that has become a job. Buddy loves him  and he’s one of the pack and is a much happier dog because of Ross and  his team.

I am so glad that I contacted Ross. We had been asked to leave our previous dog walker as they said Rocco was too giddy for group walks. Well he has fitted in perfectly and loves going to play with Ross and the other dogs. He gets excited when Ross picks him up and comes home shattered and sleeps while we’re at work. Not only does Ross walk Rocco he has helped with advice over training with regards to lead walking.

 We have been sending Lenny on walks with Ross for 6 months now. We wanted to get him on group walks to get him socialised and it has worked an absolute treat! Lenny is now so much better with other dogs when out and about. Ross is always on hand to give other advice to first time dog owners and has been such a help. Lenny also clearly loves them as he runs off to the van every time! 

I wish I was a puppy! Our puppy has the best days when she gets picked up by Claire or Christina from Man’s Best Friend. It is so reassuring to know she’s getting lots of exercise, playing with puppy friends and being cared for by such kind people. Ross was extremely helpful when I first called, and if we ever need to change our days or have an extra day added, he is very accommodating. Thank you for welcoming Maggie in to puppy club, we are so glad we found you! X 

Tina has worked really hard with our puppy Bran. Bran has always struggled with car sickness and Tina valiantly pushed through (and cleaned up) getting him used to travel and giving us tips to help. He’s so much better than he was, and we’ve not seen any sick for a few weeks now.  He loves his trips out with Tina and Clare and thinks every human he now comes across has a treat pocket.  As a lockdown pup it’s been hugely important for him to meet and get used to other dogs and MBF have been the perfect way to enable that. If you’ve got a new pup MBF are a brilliant way to get them tired out, support training and introduce them to other dogs a similar age. Thank you MBF team

 Issachar my beloved cockapoo dog has been going for great walks with  Ross and Bosco for a month now.... in this time by getting the fantastic  and reassuring videos and photos of her fun and wonderful walks I can  see Issachar coming out of her shell from being a little aloof to  becoming much more confident. She is socialising with all sorts of dogs  including the cute puppy’s ! I’m so happy that my dog is being well  exercised on interesting and stunning country walks and above all clearly  looked after , well cared for and having fun .... Claire is of the same  high standard as Ross .... and I will and do highly recommend to anyone  who wants this top quality dog walking service..... many thanks guys  ... Very happy  

We had struggled to find care for Ted in Horsforth for longer than a one hour walk a day and then we came across the companion service which MBF offer. Ross was very responsive from the get go and Ross, Molly and Claire came to meet us within a few days and put us at ease straight away as they were all so lovely and passionate about the service they provided. The service we have received from Ross since has been excellent, he always keeps me well informed and is very responsive and helpful if we ever need anything.

Ted goes out with Molly 3 times a week and he absolutely loves it. Molly is a ray of sunshine and is amazing with Ted, she clearly cares so much about the dogs and we know that he is in very safe and capable hands when he is with her. Ted gets so excited as soon as he sees Molly’s car and you can tell from the photos Molly takes on each walk that he is having the time of his life!

Amazing service, great value for money, can’t recommend enough! Thank you MBF!

 I was looking for a service for our Labrador pup Millie and came across MBF.
The process for setting up was really professional with Ross coming to meet Millie and discuss our requirements. I was really reassured that we were in good hands and they truly care about the dogs welfare.
We then met Molly who has taken Millie into her group and she has been amazing. She clearly loves the dogs in her group and we can tell from the daily updates that Millie has loads of fun, learns how to behave in a group of dogs and comes home happy.
She takes them to some lovely locations and they clearly love it.
Molly is always available to message if you want to discuss training or any other requirements. 

I can’t speak more highly of the service. The ability to plan for the forthcoming month with additional days or some flexibility if I have extra work commitments is really useful and it’s excellent value for money. Payment is straightforward. 

Really looking forward to continuing Millie’s journey with the fabulous MBF team. You’ve been a great find

We are so happy with the service from MBF. Our now 5 month old Cavapoo has been attending walks with Ross and the companion service with Claire since the end of November 2022.
It is clear how much Ross and Claire love dogs, and we have been very grateful for their commitment to settling Nellie in and making sure she is one of the pack.
Ross worked hard to get to know Nellie individually and has massively helped her with her confidence around other dogs, sights and sounds.
It is great to see just how happy she is when they arrive to collect her and in the video and photo updates we receive.
She is a confident, happy little pup and I know that MBF have contributed greatly to this.
We would highly recommend MBF to any other dog owners.
